The site comprises a heavy anti-aircraft gun emplacement together with anti-tank blocks positioned to defend against potential invasion during the critical period of 1940–1941. The anti-tank blocks, typical concrete obstacles of the period, remain visible evidence of the elaborate coastal and inland defence network constructed following the fall of France.
