High Auchenlarie is a Bronze Age stone circle located in Kirkcudbrightshire, south-western Scotland. The monument comprises a circle of standing stones dating to the Bronze Age, a period when such ritual and ceremonial monuments were constructed throughout Britain. Associated with the stone circle is a cup and ring marked rock situated approximately 380 metres to the north, a form of rock art typical of prehistoric Britain that may relate to Bronze Age ritual practices or earlier traditions. The cup and ring markings consist of circular depressions with concentric rings pecked into the rock surface, representing one of Scotland's significant examples of this enigmatic rock art tradition.
