Holm of Copister is a broch situated approximately 850 metres south-west of Southerness in Shetland, Scotland. The structure dates to the Iron Age and represents one of the characteristic defensive or high-status residential towers that were constructed across northern Scotland during this period. The broch's physical form would have comprised a distinctive hollow-walled circular tower, a hallmark of broch architecture in Atlantic Scotland. Such monuments are considered significant archaeological evidence for understanding Iron Age settlement patterns, social organisation, and building technology in the northern isles during the first centuries BC and AD.
