Hut circles SE of Yar Tor is a Bronze Age settlement located on the moorland south-east of Yar Tor in Devon. The site comprises the remains of prehistoric domestic structures characteristic of upland settlement patterns in the South West during the second millennium BC. These hut circles, marked by circular or sub-circular depressions and low stone banks, represent the footprints of timber-framed roundhouses that would have served as dwellings for Bronze Age communities. The settlement demonstrates the extent of prehistoric agricultural exploitation of Dartmoor's higher ground during a period when climate and land use favoured upland occupation.
