Invervar is a shrunken township located in Glen Lyon, Perthshire, representing the remains of a medieval and early modern settlement. The site preserves evidence of past habitation in the form of structural remains and associated field systems characteristic of rural Highland settlement patterns. Like many similar townships in the Scottish Highlands, Invervar underwent contraction and eventual abandonment as part of broader processes of depopulation and land-use change affecting the region from the medieval period onwards. The site remains visible in the modern landscape as earthwork features that document the former extent and organisation of this upland community.
