Isfield pound is a medieval animal pound located in East Sussex, England. The structure comprises a roughly circular or oval enclosure formed by substantial earthwork banks, typical of the pound type used from the medieval period onwards to impound stray livestock. Such facilities were common features of manorial settlements and served an essential administrative function in regulating village livestock and collecting fees for their release. The pound at Isfield represents a surviving example of this utilitarian medieval infrastructure.
