The Wrekin is a multiphase Iron Age hillfort situated on a prominent natural hill in Shropshire, England. The site is characterised by substantial multivallate and univallate defensive earthworks that reflect successive phases of Iron Age construction and occupation, with the outer ramparts enclosing an area of approximately 12 acres. Earlier Bronze Age activity is represented by a round barrow located within the fort, while archaeological evidence indicates Late Bronze Age settlement preceded the construction of the Iron Age fortifications. The summit and slopes of the hill also preserve the remains of Second World War military installations, reflecting the site's continued strategic importance in the twentieth century.
