Letheringham Priory is a Premonstratensian foundation established in the twelfth century in Suffolk, dedicated to the Virgin Mary and Saint John the Evangelist. The priory was dissolved during the Reformation in the sixteenth century, after which the site underwent significant changes in use and occupation. Substantial remains of the medieval priory buildings survive, including parts of the church and domestic structures, which demonstrate the architectural character typical of Premonstratensian houses of the period. A walled garden of seventeenth-century date is also preserved at the site, reflecting the post-Dissolution reuse and adaptation of the priory lands for domestic purposes.
