Little Moreton Hall moated site and outlying prospect mound is a late medieval moated homestead located in Cheshire, England. The moated enclosure represents the residential and domestic core of the Little Moreton estate, dating primarily to the fifteenth century, with the hall itself constructed around 1480. The moat survives as an earthwork feature defining the immediate precinct of the house, whilst the associated prospect mound, situated beyond the moated area, is characteristic of late medieval aristocratic estates and may have served as a vantage point for viewing the wider landscape and demesne lands. The survival of these earthwork features, alongside the exceptionally well-preserved timber-framed hall structure, provides important evidence for the spatial organisation and landscape setting of a significant late medieval gentry residence.
