Little Rough Law is an Iron Age fort situated 700 metres south-east of The Yett in Roxburghshire, Scottish Borders. The site comprises a univallate or bivallate hillfort of typical Iron Age construction, positioned to command views of the surrounding landscape. Its defensive earthworks consist of ramparts and ditches characteristic of Iron Age fortified settlements in the region, dating to the later prehistoric period before the Roman occupation of southern Scotland. The fort would have served as a stronghold for a local community during the Iron Age, reflecting the settlement patterns and territorial organisation of prehistoric Borders society.
