Llandeilo Castle Mound is a Norman motte located near the town of Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The earthwork comprises a substantial mound that would have originally supported a timber or stone fortification, typical of twelfth-century Norman defensive practice in Wales. It forms part of the wider pattern of Norman castle construction undertaken to consolidate control over the region following the Norman conquest, and represents an early phase of medieval militarisation in South Wales. The mound survives as a prominent topographical feature and remains one of the significant examples of early Norman fortification in Carmarthenshire.
