Longyester is a Post-Medieval palisaded enclosure and associated pit alignments located approximately 600 metres south-east of Longyester in East Lothian, Scotland. The site comprises a series of timber palisade structures demarcated by a linear arrangement of post-holes or pits, typical of Early Modern fortification or enclosure practices in lowland Scotland. The pit alignments suggest either defensive works, stock containment, or boundary demarcation dating to the Post-Medieval period. The site remains archaeologically significant as evidence of domestic or agricultural organisation during the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries in East Lothian.
