Tollishill Dod is an ancient homestead located approximately 250 metres south-south-west of Tollishill in Berwickshire, Scottish Borders. The site represents a modest settlement of prehistoric or early historic date, typical of the dispersed domestic occupation pattern found throughout the Borders region during the Iron Age and Romano-British periods. The homestead would have consisted of one or more roundhouses with associated ancillary structures arranged within an open or lightly defended settlement layout. Such sites reflect the agricultural economy and social organisation of upland border communities during the pre-Roman Iron Age and the centuries following Roman withdrawal from northern Britain.
