Motte Castle in Kimbolton Park is a Norman motte-and-bailey fortification located in Huntingdonshire, England. The monument, known locally as Castle Hill, consists of the characteristic raised earthwork mound typical of eleventh and twelfth-century military architecture. The site represents an important example of early Norman defensive strategy in the East Midlands region, constructed during the period following the Norman Conquest when such fortifications were established across England to consolidate control. The earthwork survives as a substantial topographical feature within the parkland setting of Kimbolton, preserving evidence of medieval military engineering and settlement patterns in Huntingdonshire.
