Mousa is a Iron Age broch situated on the island of Mousa in Shetland, Scotland, and represents one of the best preserved examples of this distinctive Scottish tower form. The structure dates to the Iron Age, likely constructed within the first or second century AD, and stands approximately 13 metres high with walls of substantial thickness constructed from dry stone masonry. The broch's circular plan and inturned entrance are characteristic of the broch type, and its remarkable state of preservation has made it an important archaeological resource for understanding Iron Age settlement and defensive architecture in northern Britain.
