Neath Abbey Ironworks is a post-medieval and modern period ironworks located in Neath, Wales, representing significant industrial heritage from the development of Welsh iron manufacture. The works occupied a site associated with the earlier Neath Abbey, adapting and building upon medieval foundations during the expansion of iron production in South Wales from the seventeenth century onwards. The ironworks exemplifies the transition of the Neath Valley into a major centre of metallurgical industry, contributing substantially to Wales's reputation as an iron-producing region during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Physical remains at the site reflect the evolution of ironworking technology and industrial organisation across successive periods of operation and development.
