Ebbsfleet is a Neolithic monument and archaeological site located in the Isle of Thanet, Kent, comprising a series of causewayed enclosures dating to the early Neolithic period, around 3700–3500 BCE. The site consists of multiple concentric or overlapping ditched enclosures, whose interrupted ditch segments are characteristic of causewayed enclosure design. Ebbsfleet represents one of the earliest monumental constructions in Britain and has yielded significant assemblages of pottery, flint tools, and animal bone material that have informed understanding of early Neolithic settlement patterns and ritual practices. The site's excavation history, particularly work conducted in the twentieth century, established it as a key reference point for interpreting the Neolithic transition and the adoption of farming economies in southeast England.
