Nether Banks is a Iron Age broch situated in Caithness in the far north of Scotland, located approximately 220 metres north-north-east of the settlement from which it takes its name. The monument dates to the Iron Age period, representing one of the distinctive circular stone tower structures characteristic of northern Scotland during this era. Brochs were substantial defensive or residential structures, typically featuring hollow-walled circular towers with internal galleries and staircases built into the thickness of the walls.
