New Manor Farm moated site is a medieval moated enclosure located in Cheshire, England. The site comprises a substantial rectangular moat that formerly enclosed a manor house and its associated domestic buildings, a characteristic defensive and status-marking feature of medieval gentry settlements from the twelfth century onwards. The moat survives as an earthwork in the modern landscape, with water-filled sections visible in places, though the original structures within have largely disappeared. Such moated sites were particularly common in the Midlands and North West during the medieval period and serve as important archaeological indicators of medieval settlement patterns and the domestic arrangements of the minor nobility and substantial landholders.
