Noonsbrough is a broch situated on the western shore of Voe of Clousta in Shetland, Scotland. As an Iron Age defensive or residential tower, it represents the distinctive architectural tradition of brochs that flourished in northern Scotland during the late prehistoric period, roughly between the 1st century BC and 1st century AD. The monument survives as a substantial stone structure characteristic of broch design, with the thick-walled, hollow-core construction typical of these fortified roundhouses. The site's location on the Shetland coastline reflects the strategic positioning of many such structures within island communities during the Iron Age.
