Old Harestanes is a Bronze Age stone circle located in Peeblesshire, Scotland, situated approximately 180 metres north-east of the settlement from which it takes its name. The monument consists of a ring of standing stones typical of ceremonial and ritual sites constructed during the Bronze Age, a period when such circles served important functions in the spiritual and communal life of prehistoric communities. The site remains an important archaeological record of Bronze Age activity in the Borders region, contributing to understanding of prehistoric monument distribution and ritual practice in southern Scotland.
