Old Malton Priory Church is a ruined Benedictine foundation situated in the North York Moors, with origins in the eleventh century. The surviving remains comprise substantial portions of the priory church, including elements of the nave and other structural fragments that demonstrate the considerable scale of the medieval religious establishment. The priory was dissolved during the Reformation, after which the church fell into decay and was largely abandoned. The standing ruins retain archaeological and architectural significance as evidence of monastic life and building practices in medieval Yorkshire.
