Poleswood East long barrow is a Neolithic burial monument located approximately 850 metres north-northwest of St Mary's Church in Gloucestershire. The site represents the characteristic funerary architecture of the early Neolithic period, constructed as an elongated earthwork designed to contain collective burials. Long barrows of this type, distributed across southern England, reflect the monumental ambitions and ritual practices of Britain's earliest farming communities, dating to roughly 3800–3500 BCE. The monument survives as an upstanding earthwork, though like many examples of its class it has experienced degradation through agricultural use and the passage of time.
