The prehistoric irregular aggregate field system, stone hut circles and medieval field on the south-west slope of White Tor is a complex archaeological monument in Devon combining evidence of settlement and land use across multiple periods. The site preserves Bronze Age or Iron Age stone hut circles representing domestic occupation, associated with irregular field boundaries characteristic of prehistoric agricultural practice. These prehistoric features are overlain by or adjacent to medieval field systems, indicating continued use of the landscape in the medieval period. The surviving stone structures and field layouts provide material evidence for understanding prehistoric settlement patterns and the evolution of agricultural organisation across the south-western uplands.
