Ravenglass Roman fort bath-house, also known as Walls Castle, is a substantial survival of Roman military infrastructure located in Cumberland in north-west England. The structure dates to the second century AD and formed part of the fort of Glannoventa, which guarded the Roman coastal defences along the Irish Sea. The building is notable for its exceptional preservation, retaining three standing walls constructed of coursed stone masonry to a considerable height, making it among the most impressive Roman remains visible above ground in northern Britain. The bath-house served the garrison stationed at the fort and demonstrates the standard amenities provided to Roman soldiers across the empire during the height of Roman occupation.
