Remains of Blast Furnaces, Cyfarthfa Ironworks is a post-medieval and modern industrial monument comprising the physical remains of blast furnaces at one of Wales's most significant iron production sites. Located in Merthyr Tydfil, the Cyfarthfa Ironworks operated from the late eighteenth century and became a major centre of iron manufacture during the Industrial Revolution, contributing substantially to Britain's industrial output.
