Saxtead Green windmill is a post mill located in Suffolk, dating to 1796. The structure exemplifies the standard post mill design of the late eighteenth century, with a wooden body mounted on a substantial timber post that allows the entire mill to rotate to face the wind. The mill retains much of its original machinery and represents a well-preserved example of rural industrial architecture from the Georgian period. It remained in use for grinding grain into the twentieth century and is now in the care of English Heritage as a monument to Suffolk's milling heritage.
