Scotston is a post-medieval settlement and field system located approximately 700 metres north-north-west of Scotston in Perthshire, Scotland. The site comprises the remains of a small rural settlement with associated agricultural field patterns typical of the early modern period in lowland Scotland. The settlement layout and field divisions reflect the agricultural practices and land use patterns of the post-medieval era, when such scattered farmsteads formed the basis of the rural economy in this region. The site remains of archaeological interest as evidence of the evolution of Scottish rural settlement and land management in the centuries following the medieval period.
