St Leonard's Priory is a Norman Benedictine monastery founded in the twelfth century at Wombridge in Shropshire. The priory was established as a daughter house and became an important religious establishment in the medieval period, with the surviving Church of St Mary and St Leonard representing the priory church. The present church structure incorporates Norman architectural elements reflecting the priory's foundation period, and the site remained significant throughout the Middle Ages until the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the sixteenth century. The monument today preserves important evidence of monastic life and Norman ecclesiastical architecture in the region.
