St Martin's Benedictine Priory, Richmond is a religious house founded in the late eleventh century as a daughter priory of the Benedictine monastery at Gent in Flanders. The priory occupied a site within Richmond's town defences and was dissolved during the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the sixteenth century. Archaeological evidence and surviving documentary records indicate the priory maintained modest physical structures appropriate to its status as a secondary religious community.
