Standingstones hut circles are a Bronze Age settlement site located in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, comprising prehistoric domestic structures situated at elevations of approximately 615 metres and 680 metres to the southwest. The hut circles represent evidence of upland settlement and pastoral activity during the Bronze Age period, when such structures served as seasonal or permanent dwellings for communities engaged in stock-rearing and subsistence agriculture. The archaeological remains consist of the characteristic circular or sub-circular stone-built foundations typical of Bronze Age domestic architecture in the Scottish Highlands, which survive as low stone banks marking the perimeter of former habitation structures. The site forms part of the wider pattern of Bronze Age settlement evidence recorded across the Cairngorms uplands, illustrating the extent of human occupation and land use at higher elevations during prehistory.
