Stanwardine moated site and associated fishpond is a medieval enclosed settlement located in Shropshire. The moated homestead comprises a substantial rectangular moat enclosing a platform upon which a dwelling and its ancillary buildings once stood, typical of high-status medieval rural occupation from the twelfth century onwards. The fishpond, positioned adjacent to the moated enclosure, represents the integration of water management for food production that characterised medieval manorial or gentry estates. The site survives as earthwork remains and provides material evidence of medieval settlement patterns and land use in the English Midlands.
