Stiaraval is a Neolithic chambered cairn located on the island of Benbecula in Inverness-shire, Scotland. The monument comprises a stone cairn structure characteristic of the Neolithic period, incorporating an internal burial chamber of the type common to the Western Isles during the fourth and third millennia before the present. The site also preserves evidence of later pastoral use in the form of associated shieling structures, indicating continued occupation and resource exploitation in the medieval and post-medieval periods. The combination of Neolithic funerary architecture with evidence of shieling activity demonstrates the long chronological span of human use at this location in the Outer Hebrides.
