Three bowl barrows is a Bronze Age funerary monument forming part of a barrow cemetery situated west of Barbury Castle in Wiltshire. The site consists of three burial mounds of the characteristic bowl barrow form, a common funerary structure of the Bronze Age. Bowl barrows typically comprised an earthen mound raised over a central burial deposit, often surrounded by a ditch from which material for the mound was extracted. This cemetery grouping is representative of the Bronze Age ritual landscape that developed around the Iron Age hillfort of Barbury Castle, which occupies a prominent position on the Marlborough Downs and has been a focus of ceremonial and settlement activity across multiple prehistoric periods.
