Three Roman Camps is a Roman marching camp complex revealed by aerial photography northeast of Walton in Radnorshire, Wales. The site comprises three distinct encampments identifiable through cropmark evidence, representing temporary military installations dating to the Roman conquest and consolidation period in Wales, likely the first and second centuries AD. Such camps served as overnight or short-term bases for legionary forces during campaigning operations across the region. The camps are characterised by their characteristic rectangular or playing-card layouts with defensive ditches, typical of Roman military field engineering, though their earthwork remains are now largely levelled and visible primarily through differential crop growth patterns recorded in aerial surveys.
