Warehouse is a broch and outworks located 100 metres north of Ulbster in Caithness, Scotland, dating to the Iron Age, likely constructed between the 1st century BC and 1st century AD. The site comprises a substantial circular stone tower typical of the broch architectural form, along with associated defensive outworks surrounding the main structure. Brochs of this period represent the most sophisticated stone-built fortifications in prehistoric Britain, featuring hollow-walled construction and internal cellular chambers designed for both domestic occupation and defensive purposes. The outworks at Warehouse would have functioned to control access to the broch and provide additional layered defence, characteristic of Iron Age settlement patterns in the far north of Scotland.
