Weird Law is a platform settlement located 550 metres south of the summit in Peeblesshire, Scotland. The site consists of a terrace or platform cut into the hillside, a characteristic feature of Iron Age and Romano-British settlement patterns in upland areas of southern Scotland. Such platforms typically served as levelled ground for domestic structures in landscapes where suitable flat terrain was limited. The settlement reflects the strategic use of Peeblesshire's topography during the pre-Roman Iron Age period, when dispersed farmstead communities occupied the region's hills and moorlands.
