Wester Tullich sulphuric acid works is an industrial site located approximately 800 metres north-north-east of Wester Tullich in Perthshire, Scotland. The works represents the chemical manufacturing industry that developed in Scotland during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, when sulphuric acid production became essential to textile bleaching and other industrial processes. The surviving physical remains reflect the infrastructure typical of early chemical works, including evidence of furnaces and processing facilities characteristic of this period of industrial expansion.
