Winklebury camp is a Iron Age hillfort located near Basingstoke in Hampshire, England. The site comprises a roughly circular enclosure defended by a single substantial bank and ditch, typical of smaller hillforts of the region dating to the later Iron Age, probably the first century BC. Excavation has produced evidence of occupation and activity consistent with this period, including finds that illuminate the settlement patterns and defensive strategies of Iron Age communities in central southern England. The monument remains a significant archaeological resource for understanding late prehistoric settlement in Hampshire.
