Woodgarston ring motte is a Norman motte-and-bailey castle situated in Hampshire, England. The site comprises a substantial mound surrounded by a ditch, characteristic of early medieval fortifications constructed during the 11th and 12th centuries following the Norman Conquest. The earthwork represents a typical example of the defensive structures erected by Norman lords to consolidate control over conquered English territories.
