Nazeing decoy is a World War II air defence installation located in Essex, England. The site comprises a dummy airfield constructed as part of the Allied decoy programme designed to draw German aerial attack away from genuine operational airfields. Built during the early 1940s, the installation would have featured painted runways, taxiways, and false structures intended to deceive enemy reconnaissance and bombing raids. Such decoys represented an important civil defence measure during the sustained German bombing campaign against British airfields and industrial targets.
