Biography
Dale Leon Bumpers was born in Charleston, Arkansas in 1925. He worked as a lawyer and politician, serving as the 38th governor of Arkansas from 1971 to 1975 and in the United States Senate from 1975 to 1999 as a member of the Democratic Party. He later served as counsel at the Washington office of Arent Fox LLP, where he represented clients including Riceland Foods and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He died on January 1, 2016.
