Ezra Pound was born on October 30, 1885, in Hailey, Idaho. He worked as a poet, critic, journalist, literary historian, translator, economist, radio personality, composer, and writer. His published works included Ripostes, Hugh Selwyn Mauberley, and The Cantos. During World War II, he collaborated with Fascist Italy and the Salò Republic. Pound died on November 1, 1972.
