Biography
Harold Delos Babcock was born in Edgerton, Wisconsin in 1882 and worked as an astronomer. After completing high school in Los Angeles, he attended the University of California, Berkeley beginning in 1901, where he studied electrical engineering and graduated in 1907. He held positions at NIST and as an instructor at Berkeley before joining Mount Wilson Observatory in 1909, where he remained until 1948.
