Biography
Jim Davis was born in Edgerton, Missouri in 1909 and worked as a film and television actor. He played Jock Ewing in the CBS series Dallas, continuing in the role until illness prevented him from performing. Following his death in 1981, he received a posthumous nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his work on the show.
