Joseph Paul Franklin was born on April 13, 1950, in Mobile, Alabama. Between 1978 and 1980, he murdered sixteen people. He either admitted to or was convicted of shooting twenty-two people across ten U.S. states, drifting between them while likely supporting himself through bank robberies. Franklin died on November 20, 2013.
