Biography
Margaret Lindsay was born in Dubuque, Iowa in 1910 and worked as a film and stage actor. During the 1930s, she held a contract with Warner Bros. and appeared in supporting roles in films including Baby Face, Jezebel, and Scarlet Street. In the early 1940s, she took leading roles in B movies such as the Ellery Queen series at Columbia, and played Hepzibah Pyncheon in The House of the Seven Gables in 1940. She died in 1981.
