Mary Baker Eddy was born in Bow, New Hampshire in 1821 and died in 1910. She worked as a theologian, author, and writer. In 1879 she founded The Church of Christ, Scientist, which served as the Mother Church of the Christian Science movement. She also established The Christian Science Monitor in 1908 and founded three religious magazines: the Christian Science Sentinel, The Christian Science Journal, and The Herald of Christian Science.
