Nancy Ann Olson was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1928. She worked as a film, television, and stage actor. Her film debut came in Canadian Pacific in 1949, followed by a role as Betty Schaefer in Billy Wilder's Sunset Boulevard in 1950, which brought her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She appeared with William Holden in three subsequent films: Union Station, Force of Arms, and Submarine Command, all released between 1950 and 1951.
