Omar Nelson Bradley was born in Moberly, Missouri, in 1893 and died in 1981. He served as a senior officer of the United States Army during and after World War II, achieving the rank of General of the Army. Bradley was the first chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and oversaw U.S. military policy-making during the Korean War.
